American Equus Gloves are the Best Gloves On the Market Hands Down (All Pun Intended)
Yep. I said it, and I stand by it. American Equus gloves are the best on the market. They last the longest, they have personalization (ahem....something a southerner never turns down), and their customer service is by far the best. Let me explain why I make the claims.
I have owned so many gloves over the years: Roeckl, Grand Prix, Ariat, Noble Outfitters, SSG, you name it....They have all been lovely gloves for different reasons. I am not saying that they aren't. I am just saying that for the price point, American Equus lasts longer and has more options than any other glove on the market. To date, I have owned four different types of American Equus gloves. They have all been the highest quality, had incredible durability, and lasted. My emphasis is on the last word--lasted. I was so tired of buying $50-70 gloves that only lasted maybe 6 months. I ride a lot for an amateur, but not as much as a professional (obviously). Riding two horses 4-6 times a week left so many gloves peeling and falling apart after only months of use. This has not been the case with American Equus.
My first pair of AE gloves was their "Performance" gloves. They lasted a solid year of hot, dry Southern California riding before I had noticeable wear to them. I was sold. At $49, they lasted twice as long as my previous Roeckl gloves.
My second pair of AE gloves is by far my favorite pair so far. Their "Cool Flow" gloves are incredibly breathable, close contact, and form to your hand like you aren't wearing gloves at all. Not to mention, the personalization is incredible (more on that in a few). The ones pictured here are over a year old and only starting to show wear. I still use them daily, and I have washed them MULTIPLE times. At $39 a pair, these are the best bang for your buck/high performing glove on the market.
I also recently bought AE's "Hunter Luxe" gloves which are wonderfully stylish while classically simple. The button clasp is a subtle touch, and the feel is fantastic. Once again, I highly recommend. These are one of the more expensive gloves they offer, but at $49, they are very reasonable for a high end pair of gloves.
Lastly, the newest addition is the AE "WinterTec Signature Performance" Glove. Ya'll, I now live in Massachusetts. Dorothy is not in Kansas (read: Los Angeles) anymore. It gets cold. Not just cold, but like I bought rechargeable heated insoles and 14 jackets to put over my Redingote winter jumpsuit (more on that product in a later post!). I freeze as soon as the temperature goes under 60 degrees. These are lovely insulated winter gloves with performance material that moves with your hand. These have been a great addition to my 5000 layers against the arctic cold. for $44, these gloves are very affordable for what you get. Here they are in action:
I have mentioned many times that you can have your gloves personalized. As you can see from the pictures in this post, you can have it done on the back of the hand, on the fingers, etc. All you have to do is order them and let their FABULOUS customer service team know where you would like your customization.
And this brings me to the last and most important point about this company. I have so rarely in my life come across such fantastic customer service. As a small business owner, my bar is really high. Let me explain. I recently ordered three pairs of gloves with personalization--the Cool Flow, the Hunter Luxe, and the WinterTec. I was shocked when they shipped and arrived so quickly. I picked them up from the mailbox and rushed inside to see them only to discover that they did not have the personalization I had requested. I had my order confirmation and emailed customer service that evening. The next morning, I had a phone call from their incredible team apologizing and confirming that there had been a glitch in their system where the personalization information did not come through. Not only did they apologize, but they let me keep the three gloves without personalization AND sent me replacements with personalization. It was so simple and so quick. They didn't have to go to that level of customer service, but they did without me even having to ask. Now, I have back up gloves for each pair. In one quick phone call, they gained a customer for life.
If you need new gloves, I highly recommend you look at American Equus. As I said above, they are the best on the market for many reasons....and no, they did not pay me to write this post. I just believe in this company. I'll do a post later on about their spurs, but their gloves are the bees knees.
